The historic city of Edinburgh with its UNESCO World Heritage architecture and historic buildings will play host to the Joint WAO/BSACI meeting.

The Conference will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) located in the heart of the city just a 5 minute walk from Edinburgh Haymarket railway station and 20 minutes from the airport.

The purpose built conference centre has world class facilities making it the perfect venue for the meeting. All meeting spaces are located close to each other, in one area with spacious public areas allowing for networking whilst maintaining social distancing. There are also a number of outside areas where delegates will be able to gather and catch up with colleagues.

The health and wellbeing of all attendees to the conference is our first priority and we understand that the ongoing uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic may give you uncertainties of your own. We wish to assure you that all aspects of the meeting will be managed in line with the latest guidance at the time of the meeting. We will continue to monitor the situation but know that such uncertainty can make planning difficult. All COVID restrictions in Scotland have now been lifted, including international arrivals. International delegates requiring a departure PCR test can obtain one here.

Welcome Reception – Monday 25th April 2022

Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC)

Join us for the Welcome Reception, taking place immediately after the final session on day 1 of the conference for the opportunity to catch up with your colleagues and network with others in the field of allergy over a glass of wine and nibbles.

Tickets can be purchased at £15 each to include a welcome drink and nibbles when registering to attend the conference.

The WAO/BSACI Presidents Dinner will take place in the historic building of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the Surgeons Quarter in the centre of the city, just over 1 mile from the EICC.
